baby knits! II

As previously mentioned I'm doing lots of baby knits at the moment! I was pretty excited about the prospect of baby knitting as it gave me permission to purchase a book I'd had my eye on for quite a while, bright young things by Milla Mia. I'm a huge fan of their patterns and yarn ever since having the opportunity to meet them at my local yarn shop, The Knit Club. They held a book signing event and to hear them talk about the designs and see the yarn knitted up was a lovely experience.

At the time I fell in love with the kids collection, but had no reason to get anything from it - I opted for one of the cushion patterns instead! Having finally got my hands on the book I can honestly say I love the range of items! I wasn't sure which to go for as they are all so lovely but after seeing the Emil Pattern knitted up at The Knit Club I decided to give it a go!

Since September I've got a new, longer, commute to work so I decided this would be my train ride project, retrospectively I'm quite impressed with myself as it required a lot more slipping of stitches and yarn holders than I'd anticipated and not something I would normally do on a more mobile project, but now I know I can! Anyway it's a beautiful pattern and I would definitely recommend it! I can't wait to give it to my friends and their beautiful new baby girl!
