socks

Our recent trip up to Edinburgh was made by car so I took full advantage of the time and knitted, don't worry I wasn't driving, I managed to finish one and a half socks and finished them off at home this week. I used the gorgeous hedgehog fibres yarn I picked up in Amsterdam and used their Vestigial pattern I love the mock rib down the front! I'm completely in love with the colour and can't wait to strut around with them on, I think they will make the perfect pop of colour with a black dress/skirt.

Also knit wise socks were kind of a first for me! I've knitted socks before but never, properly and fully in the round so it was a little bit of a learning curve but I think I might be hooked. I'm hoping I might be able to make another pair out of the leftover yarn and then I'll be on the look out for a new pattern and some yarn - recommendations welcome! So far I've been eyeing up the Coop Knits books for a while now and I think I'm feeling confident enough now that I'll actually be able to knit some of the beautiful socks in the books!
