Christmas and thank yous...

I decided the other day that although socks are often a slightly unwanted gift at christmas, that actually a cute little hand knitted pair would be a lovely gift so I've made a pair for a good friend of mine. I was also finishing off a little thank you present for a colleague of my mums who gave me a knitting bag of hers as she was getting a new one. Well, it's not strictly just a knitting bag, it's this bag (in peacock) which is perfect for fitting the crazy amount of stuff I tend to carry around along with my knitting. It has an awesome pouch inside which protects my knitting for the perils of the rest of the contents. Also it is 'animal friendly faux leather' as it's fellow owner was vegan and I'm impressed with how awesome it looks! It was such a wonderfully kind thing to do - she too is a fellow knitter and she is due to have a baby next month so I knitted this little bear to say thank you. I love making things for people!

I'm now about to make crazy lists of what needs to be done and when as I'm taking on the somewhat daunting task of cooking dinner for my family on Christmas day, so I doubt I shall be updating again before the big day so...

Merry Christmas!
