working...

I'm breaking through, starting to make new work... hurrah! Although I'm now on a course for the next 3 days, then going to an open call (ah!), followed by a few days at work. So it'll be a little while before I get back onto it but I'm sure I can do some work in the evenings this week at least.

sometimes I feel like I spend 90% of my time running errands, organising, applying for things, documenting stuff. Do you know what I mean?

anyway, me and Camilla are plotting. more info SOON.

i know exactly what you mean! sometimes people don't believe me when i say i don't have time to actually make new things - it's just so hard with promoting, documenting, organizing, running errands, and still managing to take a shower and put something in your stomach at the end of the day. : )

Ooh! Good luck good luck good luck for the open call - so exciting!

ps My verification word is scablet - tee hee! Reminds me of the time my little but very hard and round scab fell off my knee at playgroup and I got caught looking for it and all the mums laughed at me until I cried. That was a definite scablet. Still wish I'd found it...

i think I'm more nervous than anything else! mostly cause I'm 95% sure they'll be like... so why did you think it'd be worth coming? WRONG

ah!

haha what a random word.. that is so mean! I can't believe the mums laughed, how awful. Theres def something about scabs and playgrounds tho... when i was in my first year at primary school some girls invited me to skip on their skipping rope - then used it to trip me up and i ended up with a scab under my nose like a tash!
sexy.

so with you on the time thing. sometimes i just want to throw m computer across the room and escape the endless emails and to do lists for shows. But then I try to remember it is GOOD that I am so busy with this stuff- it is part of being a "career" artist.
But oh somedays I wish i could JUST work:)

its like a catch 22 I guess! What would you been doing the work for if you weren't chasing up the emails etc? I do daydream about cutting myself off from it tho... even if just for a little bit!

I love your stuff by the way! Your fibre work is fantastic!
